Guests of Event Essex: Colchester Campus are invited to dine at one of our six different restaurants, all of which are on campus and are within easy walking distance of our accommodation and meeting facilities. Alternatively, you can grab a snack at one of four food-to-go quick service outlets.

Fancy a pre-dinner drink or a late-night snack? Visit one of our two on-site bars for good food and drink served in a relaxed atmosphere.

Event Essex: Colchester Campus offers a wide range of on-site indoor and outdoor facilities, and our experienced staff can tailor-make exciting itineraries or organise group activities to meet your requirements, whether you are hosting a sports camp or are simply looking for a fun team-building activity.

Get your skates on at Europe’s finest rollerskating rink. Have a quick lesson, get on down at the roller disco or enjoy the adult only evenings. Located just three miles from our Event Essex accommodation and meeting spaces, Rollerworld provides the perfect opportunity to let off steam after a busy day of conferences.

Beth Chatto Gardens

Journey just four miles from our Event Essex accommodation and meeting spaces to explore seven acres of magnificent gardens, nurseries and tea rooms at the historic Beth Chatto Gardens.

Group discounts are available and under-14s can enter for free.

Layer Marney Tower

Within 13 miles of our Event Essex accommodation and meeting spaces, England’s tallest Tudor Gatehouse, Layer Marney Tower, offers visitors an historic experience with bird’s eye views of the surrounding countryside. Other highlights include the Wildlife Walk, the Tea Room and bottle feeding the lambs.
