As the festive period approaches, Event Essex is proud to maintain the delivery of high-quality experiences for clients. While activity can slow during December (and often transition into a busy social season), we view this time as an opportunity to highlight the team that has made another successful year possible.
The Winter Choir has been the central feature of our December programme. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to enjoy Light in the Darkness, a Christmas concert in our Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall, by our University of Essex Choir which also featuring the Wivenhoe Youth Choir and performances by soloists.

Alongside this performance, we want to take a moment to thank each and every member of Event Essex and their contributions over the year. Our team plays a vital role in planning, coordinating, and delivering events, and the festive season offers a moment to recognise their contribution. Event Essex remains focused on providing a quality, trustworthy service. This period is both a time for celebration and a chance to reaffirm our values of professionalism, consistency, and dedication to our clients.
The team has worked incredibly hard this year, accommodating over 2300 young people attending international language schools in July & August alone, supporting two weeks of graduation ceremonies with our celebrations receptions, and expanding our individuals staying on campus platform to all year-round availability in both Colchester and Southend.
But just because the year is coming to an end, doesn’t mean Event Essex plans to slow down. We’ve been inspired by this season of giving to set up a collection point in our office for our local food bank and welcome donations, as well as celebrating Christmas Jumper Day on 11 December, fundraising for Save the Children who help children in the UK and around the world stay safe, healthy and learning. We welcome any support for our cause or simply sharing our page to raise awareness for the charity.

It’s time the team took a well-deserved break. The Event Essex office will be closed from 23 December and will be back with you on 5 January. If you plan on staying with us on or around Christmas, ensure you have your accommodation booked before 22 December, and until then, have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
